About inflammation.news

Plain science for a calmer body. inflammation.news is a free news source about chronic inflammation: what new research finds, how sure we can be, and what an everyday person can do about it this week.

Why we exist

Most of what people read about inflammation comes from three places. Journals are accurate but hard to read. Health portals are written for search engines and wrapped in ads. Wellness influencers sell certainty, fear and a discount code. We call that last one the Hype Machine, and we exist to be the calm, honest alternative.

What makes us different

  • Every story is graded. Strong, Moderate, Emerging, Early or Not supported. The grade decides the words we may use. See how we grade evidence.
  • Every claim shows its receipts. Each fact links to the study it came from, on PubMed.
  • Every article ends with something you can do, plus a clear note on when to talk to your doctor first.
  • Money never touches a grade. See our editorial policy.

How our articles are made

inflammation.news is researched and written with AI, and we say so on every article. Our system reads new studies from PubMed, writes in plain language from the study abstracts only, and then runs an automated check: every source must exist in PubMed and not be retracted, and every claim must match the exact words of its source. Articles that fail the check, or that touch topics such as pregnancy, children, cancer treatment or changing a prescription, are held for a person instead of published. Articles are not individually reviewed by a doctor.

Not medical advice

Nothing here replaces care from a clinician who knows you. Read our medical disclaimer.
